Lincoln is the luxury brand of the Ford Motor Company. It was founded by Henry Leland in 1917 as the Lincoln Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. He named his company after Abraham Lincoln, the first president Leland voted for. Ford purchased the company in 1922. Lincoln currently has assembly plants in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Classic Lincoln models include the Zephyr and the Continental. In 1936, Lincoln introduced the Zephyr as a four door mid-size luxury sedan. The Continental was introduced in 1942 and went through several evolutions over the years under the “Mark” designation. The Lincoln Town Car, introduced in 1980, was a similar vehicle to the Continental. Lincolns first full-size SUV, the Navigator was produced in 1998.
Today, Lincoln sells a range of sedans, crossovers and SUV’s. The sedan lineup includes the MKZ, MKZ Hybrid and of course, the timeless Continental. A base model Continental starts in the mid $40,000’s.
The crossover and SUV line makeup the largest segment of Lincoln vehicles with their flagship being the Navigator, one of the best-selling full-size luxury SUV’s. Navigator was named the 2018 North American Truck of the Year. Base models of the Navigator start around the mid $70, 000’s.
Some Lincoln vehicles come with the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 technology package. The set of drivers assist technologies include Blind Spot Detection, Pre Collision Assist, Lane Keeping System, a self-washing Rear View Camera, and Auto High Beam Headlamps.
ShipCar24 offers both open and enclosed transport options for shipping your Lincoln across the country. Pricing can vary depending on the size of the vehicle as well as shipping destination.
