Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Chrysler was founded in 1925 by Walter Chrysler. In 2014 Chrysler merged with Fiat to become Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). The company also owns Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. Fiat-Chrysler has 26 factories in the US, Canada, Mexico and Venezuela.

Walter Chrysler built the iconic, art deco Chrysler Building in Midtown Manhattan and it served as the company’s headquarters from 1930 to the mid-1950’s. Chrysler purchased Dodge and created Plymouth and DeSoto in 1928.

In 1955 Chrysler released the C300. Designed as a stock car to race in the brand-new racing series, NASCAR, but it was also sold to the general public. It is considered one of the first sports cars. Chrysler itself isn’t known for having too many of its own iconic models, but many Dodge, Jeep and Plymouth cars have plenty of their own. Chrysler acquired Jeep in 1985.

Today, Chrysler only sells three vehicles, the 300, Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid. Each vehicle has three to six models to choose from. The Pacifica (not the Hybrid) gets good gas mileage for a minivan plus it comes with Stow and Go giving you lots of storage and seating arrangements. The Hybrid gets a combined 82mpg and the third row can fold flat into the floor.  The Pacifica has received many awards and accolades for safety, quality, best buy awards and top pick for family cars. The 300 comes in both RWD and AWD depending on your preference.

Chrysler is also very active and promotes many community causes such as, No Kid Hungry, Cars 4 Classrooms, Another Mother Runner and Give a Dog a Job.
